I've started a fic about Eileen Prince, basically telling her life story in short snippets. Here's the prologue.
From the Daily Prophet, 31 March 1931:
EIGHTH CHILD BORN TO MINISTRY OFFICIAL
The wife of Augustus Prince, Head of the Improper Use of Magic Office, yesterday gave birth to their eighth daughter, Eileen. Mr. Prince is pleased with the addition to his family, as it has been several years since their last child was born, though upset that he is still without a son.
“I’ve the worst luck,” he said in an interview. “The Princes were once among the most prominent pureblood families of Britain, close friends of the Blacks; now we’re nearly gone. I’m the only one left. I do my best to rebuild the family, and what do I get for my trouble? Plenty of girls, but not one son! It’s a bloody disgrace.”
Mr. Prince added that he will not allow his family name to die out, and intends to keep trying for a son, “as long as it takes.” He refused to comment on his wife’s and daughters’ feelings on the matter.
When asked if there is any truth to the rumours of mental illness being responsible for the Prince family’s decline, he called this reporter numerous rude names and ended the interview.
